Resort Check In Checklist

When I arrive at my Disney Resort, I like to have my checklist handy for check-in.  I'm always afraid I'll forget something, but with this along, check-in goes smoothly:

Ask for fridge (extra cost)

Ask for specific building/floor/section (for instance you may want to be closer to the food court, or you may want to be closer to the quiet pool.  Others may want a first floor room).

Ask about separately priced event tickets (such as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, Night of Joy, etc.)

Ask about park tickets

Ask about dinner show tickets

Ask for a crib or cot (if needed)

Ask if hotel is crowded, and if not, ask about a complimentary room upgrade.

Ask for Express Checkout.  You'll need to leave a credit card number with them, but this means you won't have to go back to the front desk to check out on your day of departure.

Ask for late check out.  They allow a certain number of rooms per resort to check out of the resort later than the usual 11:00 a.m.  Late checkout usually extends your room time until 1:00 pm, but this varies.

Have ready:

Annual Pass (if using this discount for the room)

Post Card (if using one with a code for room discount)

Credit Card (if you will be using Express Check out or if you plan to charge meals, souvenirs, recreation, room service to your room.)

Most of these items relate to a stay in a Disney Resort; however, you can simply adapt the list to fit any resort.
