Carousels

Magic Kingdom - Fantasyland
Cinderella's Golden Carrousel
- this carrousel was built in 1917, and was originally used at Olympic Park In Maplewood, NJ.  During the Disney refurbishing, many of the original horses were replaced with horses made of fiberglass.  Disney artists hand-painted 18 scenes from the little cinder girl story from Charles Perrault's fairy tale and from Disney's 1950 film.  No two horses are exactly alike.  Each horse took about 48 hours to paint.

You Can't Ride This Carousel But You Can Eat It! - This life-size, edible carousel is a holiday tradition at Disney's Beach Club Resort at Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Featuring ponies made of sugar, giant candy cane poles, handcrafted poinsettias and portraits of famous Disney characters on a lighted roof of gingerbread, the spinning carousel is created by Disney Pastry Chef Stefan Riemer and his talented team. Each holiday season, Disney chefs deck the halls in sweet fashion, creating larger-than-life, edible displays all across the 47-square-mile Walt Disney World Resort.
