Rehabs, Closings & Other Changes

EPCOT

• Mexico pavilion - Cantina de San Angel, closed for expansion until September. This is to become a new 400-seat waterside restaurant and quick-service location. The restaurant will have both indoor and outdoor seating.

• Honey I Shrunk the Audience – this 3D movie is closed and is being replaced temporarily by Captain EO. The reopening date has not yet been announced.  Caption EO – opened July 2, 2010.

Disney's Hollywood Studios

• The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror Adds “Summer Nightastic!” Drop Sequences and Effects 6/6/10-8/14/10.

• Toy Story Mania! – closed for rehab August 16 – 28, 2010.
  Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream – closed for rehab August 16 – November 2, 2010.

• Star Tours – closing on September 8, 2010 and reopening in 2011. Updates will include elements from the more recent Star Wars films

Magic Kingdom Park

• Main Street Electrical Parade Returns to the Magic Kingdom 6/5/10-8/14/10.

• “Summer Nightastic!” Fireworks Spectacular Performs 6/5/10-8/14/10

• Wishes! fireworks and Spectromagic Return 8/15/10.

• Walt Disney World Railroad will close for 3-4 months in 2010 to accommodate Fantasyland Expansion.

• Goofy’s Barnstormer at Wiseacre Farm Closes TBA to be transformed into a Dumbo themed coaster.

• Pooh’s Playful Spot playground, Ariel’s Grotto character meeting place and Scuttle’s Landing are closed due to the Fantasyland expansion.

• It’s a small world – closed for refurbishment August 1 – October 22, 2010.

• Liberty Square Riverboat – closed August 16 – 25, 2010.
  Toontown – will be closing permanently in early 2011.

Saratoga Springs

• A new pool is being added in the Paddock area. It is scheduled for completion in mid-2011 and will include a 3300 square foot pool, a 146 foot water slide, a wet-play area, and quick-service dining.
  

Grand Floridian Resort

• Franck’s Bridal Studio – undergoing renovations include online tools to assist with remote planning, two new planning rooms, additional computers and TVs and new furnishings. It is scheduled to reopen in July.

Downtown Disney 

• Pollo Campero fast-food restaurant Opens Fall 2010.
