Astro Orbiter
Tomorrowland, Magic Kingdom
Astro Orbiter,
located in Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland, is
arrived at by taking an elevator. This ride is similar to Dumbo, but
with rocket ships instead of flying elephants, and the rockets are
higher up in the air.
This ride is quite popular with young children.
Each rocket is equipped with a shifter that you can operate to send
your rocket higher or lower.
Two people can fit into one rocket. There
are not two separate seats
though, so the person in front will be surrounded by the legs of the
person sitting in the back.
You get a really good view of Tomorrowland while
riding this attraction.
This ride emits different colored lights from the
top, and is quite a sight
at night time. It can be seen from long distances.
