This ride replaced the old Dreamflight attraction, but they kept the
same buggies as well as part of the final sequence. Remember that
ride where you were flying with the birds, then with airplanes, and it
really felt for a moment like you were really up in the sky? They
kept that room intact. You soar through a dark, starlit sky
instead.
You ride in black buggies (much like the doom buggies from the Haunted
Mansion), that have been outfitted with 2 laser guns each, and a lever for
turning your vehicle around. Your mission is to help Buzz Lightyear
defeat the Evil Emperor Zurg and his minions.
You get lots of chances to blast away with your laser guns at the bad
guys. Counters on your vehicle keep your scores. At the
end of the ride, you pass a board which gives you a rating based on your
score.
