Mad Tea Party
Fantasyland, Magic Kingdom
The Mad Tea Party is a tea cup, or saucer, ride. You sit inside a tea cup
that has a wheel in the middle. Everyone in your cup grasps the wheel when the
ride starts and spins it, so that the cup goes round and round. The cups are
situated on top of a platform that also revolves, so you can get quite dizzy on
this attraction.
Those with delicate stomachs should consider either passing up this ride, or
not spinning their tea cup.
Teenagers especially love this ride, which is located between at the edge of
Fantasyland and near both Toon Town Fair and Tomorrowland.
The ride is themed after Alice in Wonderland. Watch for the soused mouse from
the Alice in Wonderland story to make an appearance at the top of the teapot in
the center of the ride.
Characters from the movie often appear near the attraction, including Alice,
The Mad Hatter, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, and The Queen of Hearts.
